I was anxious to see how dirrel would react to AA's power punches but he just wasnt pressing dirrel that much till the 10th and at that point in the fight everyone knew dirrel had it in the bag but you can never count the other guy out especially when its arthur abraham.
Dirrell certainly has a lot of dog in him and for this I just dont care for him as a fighter. there is a lot of ***** in him throwing himself to the floor every time there is some pressure. Guy has a yellow streak as well as a ton of talent. He just seems weak mentally to me.
I can't believe people are accusing Dirrell of 'faking'! Let me get this straight: Dirrell was winning comfortably on points, yet he fakes getting knocked out, fakes the trembling on the ground (from an apparent concussion), then fakes feeling strange in the head (again, concussion symptoms), and then fakes crying and apologizing to his family because he thought he lost! Give me a ****in break!! AA got disqualified which is the right decision. I have nothing but praise for Dirrell who boxed beautifully. **** the haters and their bull**** theories about 'faking' like they know something about boxing.
That about sums it up. I really tried to root for him both in the Froch fight (which he won IMO) and now in the Abraham fight but I just can't do it. This guy can be pretty awesome but I just can not force myself to like him with all the ***gy bull**** he's pulling off.
The only reason AA got more aggressive is because Dirrel changed his game plan on got on his bike. Dirrel wanted to go out boxing... Dirrel didnt allow AA to get aggressive for the first 10 rounds... People think AA just decide to attack after 10 rounds? He was gettin his ass rocked so he was made to think first. But once Dirrel decided to go on cruise control then of course he got a chance to land something... AA was leaving himself so open, he could have gotten knocked out or down again if Dirrel decided to go back on the attack...Yet everyone rules that out?
Cause he was getting tired - and that means he was getting slower. And Abraham was getting desperate. I cant say there would have been more than a 20% chance of Abraham getting the KO but if Dirrell wanted to end the fight giving him a 0% chance he had a way out. If he faked we will never know.
Prior to this fight I honestly wasn't a fan. Even though i believe like many others that in Dirrell's previous fight he did beat Froch. It's just that his antics in that fight turned me off. In the Froch fight he left it in the judges hands and in my opinion you don't do that when fighting behind enemy lines, but in this fight Dirrell dropped the antics and executed the game to perfection as they say. Dirrell simply boxed/stood his ground when needed and put on an all around good performance. That unfortunately was tainted with the DQ.
