I wonder if DJ will ever get to number 1. If he moved up, beat Dillshaw, Cruz and Garbrandt I reckon you'd have to seriously consider it.
If I'm to assume everyone who ever failed a drug test or admitted to using drugs, cheated their whole career and should be disqualified from this list I'd have a lot of names to take off. Barnett, Belfort, Cro Cop, Gracie, Jones, Machida, Melendez, Nogueira, Overeem, Penn, Romero, Dos Santos, Sherk, Shields, Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva. But then why stop there a lot of the key victories of other guys on the list could also be discounted due to them being drug cheats. Alves, Cerrone, Diaz, Fitch, Franca, Gastelum, Kerr, Lesnar, Marquardt, Mendes, Mir, Parisyan, Randleman, Shamrock, Sonnen, Sylvia. If I'm to discount every credential of every fighter listed then I don't really have a lot of names to go off. Not to mention the lack of testing in Japan and the way Pride 32 was a juice fest due to USA testing. For me, I just discount the fights where drug failure was proven, anything else is conjecture that ends I don't know where.
Well if I dismiss everyone I named, plus those who competed in an organisation without testing I'm left with a top ten of: 1 Georges St Pierre 2 Connor McGregor 3 Demetrious Johnson 4 Dominic Cruz 5 Daniel Cormier 6 Max Holloway 7 Matt Hughes 8 Jose Aldo 9 Frankie Edgar 10 T.J. Dillshaw Nah doesn't work for me. I'm sticking with my old system. Dismiss the fights were cheating was proven.
GSP may never have been caught but there has been plenty of suspicion he was on PEDs. Diaz brothers been saying for years "everybody is on steroids all these mother****ers"
