I don't know if anyone else noticed this but why is it that MMA commentators like to criticize damn near evrything!!!!! Not Michael 'The Voice' Schiavello but the ex-fighters who commentate!

It also seems as if they are obviously biased against the Asian fighters as well!

Not sure, but if I had to guess...

    There's more to criticize.

In a sport with as many dimensions as MMA, even top-level athletes do a lot of things less-than-perfectly.

Sorry my experience is limited to the awesome duo of Joe "I'm high as ****" Rogan and Mike "just sitting beside Joe Rogan makes me cum in my pants" Goldberg, and there's nothing to criticise when it comes to those two.

Announcers who are ex fighters or fairly into training tend to see things through the way they were taught themselves, so they tend to get excited when they see something being done either the way they believe it should be done and either interested or critical when they see something being done differently than they were taught.

  6. Joe Rogan doesn't do a bad job of analysis most of the time, high as **** indeed though.

Golberg, dont even need to comment on that.

I like when fighters commentate. Kenny Florian does a good job and can inteview pretty well too.

I like Rogan and think he is a really astute analyst.

Not sure about the original topic.

Joe Rogan is definitely a good commentator. I also love when Frank Mir does it as well.

Mir and Florian are both great commentators IMO. Rogan can go way over the top sometimes, but it's weird watching UFC cards without him on the mic. The only fighter who I think should be fired as a commentator is Frank Shamrock. The guy sounded like a total jackass during Le/Smith and and Zaromskis/Diaz.

My favorite commentators are Mauro Ranallo and Bas Rutten when they used to commentate for Pride. Mauro had great knowledge of the sport and Bas had great experience - always gave a pretty unbiased and accurate account of the fights.

Rogan and for that matter anything UFC never has been able to reach the calibre of Pride in my opinion, from the atmosphere to the entire presentation of fights, I dont think they will ever achieve that.

Bas Rutten tends to give constructive analysis while keeping his comments mostly positive...and entertaining as ****.

"Woah!!!!!!!!! Bam!!! Hey!!!!! Oh-oh!!! He got him good! Yeah, Arlovski really shouldn't have done that, he was doing great up until then, the flying knee, very bad, should not do it...you can't do nothing when you do that, no good...and then Fedor, oh baby...BAM..."
