This could qualify as a pointless thread, but I'm disapointed that my favorite local MMA show now seems to have been bought by the UFC. Joe Ferraro (Showdown Joe) was a great unbiased interviewer that showed the whole world of MMA as it was, for a while I've been thinking he was becoming really pro-UFC and did tons of ''friendly'' interviews with Dana, and now the show is officially UFC connected. (used to be MMA connected) It just shows how the UFC really wants control over everything, even media. I don't really watch inferior promotions like Bellator or MFC, but I loved to hear about them and stay informed. Seems like Joe now joins Ariel Helwani as a UFC-bought media source. Anyone knows any other good, unbisased MMA news show? from either U.S. or Canada.
LOL, come on...he was always a UFC shill. At least they are being honest now. That show is unwatchable, he thinks he's some sort of TV personality. The 'best of 2010' show were his stupid antics and nothing to do with the sport. He was always in the same boat as lole and Helwani. The traveling lackies that write/report fluff pieces for ZUFFA. Mauro has (had?) a decent show on the Score which covered more worldwide MMA. But I can't stand him either and especially Lance Storm of all people giving their opinion.
Agreed he most likely already leaned towards the UFC before, but still he always talked about strikeforce, Bellator,MFC etc... he always credited fighters with skills, or that performed well, or even compared them with UFC guys. Now they'll talk UFC only? That's crap, it was the only worthy show that I, in quebec, could watch. I'll look up for something else guess :-(.
They will probably still show that stuff to fill up the content...but who knows maybe they won't. Download Inside MMA and just skip to the highlights (the show sucks otherwise). The ESPN show is the most professional looking but again it's just a UFC infomercial. You can't win I guess.
