MMA fighter Miguel Torres

This guy is one of the elite MMA fighters out there and he was calling out PBF because Floyd sh*tted MMA. It looks like he should have worried about this weekends opponent rather than PBF cause some dude named Bowles knocked him out brutally. I dont know how many of you watch MMA but i caught the fight and find it funny that Torres got knocked out, in an all stand up fight, by a "wild hooking" fighter with ten fights under his belt. Imagine if he went hand to hand with floyd!

 

Wins and losses in MMA are still way too random.

 

I read his calling out of Mayweather.

I was posting on a MMA website the other day, as i do actually like MMA, and people on there were actually saying Torres would be able to last the course with Mayweather as his boxing is on Floyds level

Shocking:-(

 

Firstly, it wasn't all all stand-up fight.. he got taken down twice.
& the knockout punch was one while he was grounded... a good punch from inside Miguel's guard.


Secondly, Miguel didn't want to go against Floyd for 12 rounds of boxing.
In a real fight (which is what MMA is.. the art & sport of real fighting), Torres beats Floyd... even though Torres IS overrated as a fighter (135lb is still very dry... it doesn't even get on PPV!). He wanted to do like a few rounds boxing with Floyd (to survive), another few kickboxing (to show in 'stand-up' he can damage Floyd -- which he could to a certain extent) & then a few rounds of MMA (in which it would only take 1 for him to take Floyd down and submit him -- and yes, in a REAL fight, there would be no ref or stoppage after a tap... a limb would get broken or he would get choked unconscious & if held long enough dead).

Truth hurts... but that's what it is.
MMA is the sport of fighting.
The sport of boxing is the sweet science of fisticuffs where we don't have to deal with anything else.

Now if you wanna continue to be upset because you still have this complex about boxers automatically being the hardest men or 'best fighters' in the world, then you can be so... just don't say stupid things or twist the truth.

besides, on MMA forums they barely talk about boxing APART FROM IN THE BOXING SECTION


if, this knowledge and realization that the heavyweight champion is no longer the hardest man in the world upsets you... then maybe you don't actually love the SPORT OF BOXING & the sweet SCIENCE as much as you think you do. But rather, you just love a fist fight & nothing more.

 

I like Miguel Torres but he would get KO in one round vs Mayweather. His boxingskills are NO WHERE as good as even Zab Judahs.

 

This is a bad example as Judah is almost on par with pbf skills.

 

Ha Ha. The truth is Torres got KTFO. You can talk about who knows what about MMA but i know this. A brute brawler like Rampage doesnt get submitted often so for you to just ASSUME that Torres would submit PBF is speculation. And yes, this is a boxing forum so if Miguel Angel Torres doesnt want to be in a thread like this then stop calling out boxers! Worry about the dude that you have to fight. I know quite a bit about MMA by the way so im not just talking about an article i read.

 

He lost? Lmfao, that Bowles dude looked like ass in the promos.

 

No he is not almost in par with PBF's boxing skills. Judah is a flashy fighter, but is a B level fighter in terms of skill.

His speed is A level, about it.

 

If you saw the Torres fight you would know that there is NO WAY you can put his hands in the same category as Judah. Not even half way to Zabs natural ability.

 

The fact that many of you even humor Torres by discussing a boxing match between him and Floyd is depressing.

 

I feel your pain p. falk but after hearing that this Torres character is such a bad ass and then to top it off he even had an article in the main page directed at PBF! I dont think he has a chance in hell in a boxing match but im going to rub it in because ha actually opened his mouth to insult Floyd and got ko'd in his very next outing.

And it's funny that people are always accusing US of being fixated on MMA. If their guys would just admit that they can't throw hands with elite boxers, we might stop bringing up the "rivalry".

 

^^^^Thats what im saying! He brought it on himself challeging PBF. Hopefully the big mouth Floyd doesnt suffer the same consequence against JMM because tho some think its a tune up, i think this is going to be a tough fight.

 

what a ******, i know torres has serious talent but instead of getting so caught up with the pbf situation he should of been concentrating on bowles, floyd is probabaly pissing his pants at this guy now
