They said! Bunch of low calibre athletes they said! Bunch of white boys dry humping each other they said! LOL Look, I think everyone came out as winner's, unscathed really. Dana White will be smiling, Floyd can breathe a sigh of relief & in defeat (with context applied) CM can hold his head up high! He simply didn't have the gas tank of a 12 round boxing fighter. CM with better stamina & a boxing pedigree could have been a helluva boxer! For a short while there I thought this was going to be Fury v Klitschko all over again.. In boxing we have the staggered round system as a fighter progresses along 6 ,8, 10, 12 rounders. There is a reason for this! It's called adjusting to the game, building you, easing you in, & serving your apprenticeship! If that was a 6 round fight Floyd might have lost that! One thing is clear, if this wasn't totally a boxing match & it was CM's MMA versus Floyd the pretty one wouldn't have lasted 60 seconds! Mac was working behind that jab & switch hitting beautifully! Great event. Too much stacked against Mac though.. Respect to Floyd. ATG. I don't really fancy seeing more of these though. It's not MMA v Boxing because it was fought under Queensbury rules. Both can coexist though, like George Bush said: "Human beings & fish can coexist together peacefully".. Respect both sports. God bless the USA.
He can't box. Hits like a girl Imagine what a real 154 pounder or 160 pounder would do to him? arm punching leprecaun.
Did you just say hits like a girl? Haha haha haha my 12 year old son would say something like that haha haha

The MMA detractors are a good example of poor pathetic standards in the school system, lack of reasoning and logic are destroying the acumen of the Populace. Mgregor is 0-0 in boxing and made Floyd work for the win. Two different sports, different tools and fighting styles.
You obviously are ignoring the facts. Conor chose not to sit on his punches instead choosing to control the fight instead and keeping Fluid from doing much of anything. It was a tactical decision predicated on some hard punches mixed in with a bazillion taps. The few power punches he did land and those light jabs kept Fluid controlled. Seriously, how much of a wuss is Fluid, to cover up like that and turn his back. C'mon dawg, TBE don't do **** liek that now does he? It was comical watching Fluid. It was also embarrassing watching Conor gas out in that fashion. Hell, did they even train?
LOL Sherdog must be dead atm... 1. Hammer fists, rabbit punches do not score but most likely get counted... 2. He did not win the fight in the first 5 rounds.. 3. Look at the 6-10 punch stats... lol. 4. It was embarrassing for Connor to see someone getting beat up like that by a 40yo retired boxer who didn't even spar for the last month..
Rumour has it Pretty Boy was paid extra to make the fight go at least 6rds, it sure looks likely now given he hardly threw a punch first 2rds.......... McConor had zero power
If we're going by the bare numbers, it's not even like Conor outlanded Floyd by a massive amount in rounds 1 through 5. Conor landed more in rounds 1, 2 and 3, after which he began to gas. In round 4 -- the round in which Floyd adjusted and started to walk Conor down -- they both landed the same number of shots, and in round 5 Mayweather outlanded McGregor 12 punches to 9. As for your second point: I had Conor winning the first 3 rounds (partly based on the above), had him 3-2 up after 5 rounds, and never gave him a round after that point: on my card, Floyd, the "old, weak *****" took every round from 4 through 9, and you could even make a case for scoring the 9th a 10-8 round to Mayweather.
MMA fighters, what a daft label. Not every MMA fighter will train boxing for a start. Out of those who do, which McGregor clearly does they won't be as effective as full time boxers because they also have to train BJJ, wrestling, kickboxing, judo, MT etc. McGregor was stopped by Floyd, that was the predicted outcome by the bookies. What no one expected was McGregor to actually box with a strategy and try to keep the fight at range behind quick attacks. Most expected McG to just try wailing away and walking through Floyd. Most people knew he'd gas, they just didn't know he'd sweep the first 3 rounds.
