I was in disbelief at some judges scorecards at UFC 129.

GSP clearly won all 5 rds against Shields. 50-45 imo that is the only way that fight could be scored yet 2 of the judges scored it 48-47. Shocking imo.

    Opinions anyone ?

I thought round 4 was very close and could have went to Shields. But, that's also the round he was knocked down by the head kick, so that alone could have given George the round.
I think the judges might have been like the rest of us. We were surprised Shields showed anything at all on his feet, so he might have got the benefit of the doubt in rounds that were close.

I personally didn't think any round was close enough where you could even consider giving it to Shields.

Could be. Maybe when I watch it again I'll change my mind. I could be suffering from the similar syndrome the judges may have had. That is, looking for any reason to give Shields a round just for hanging in there with a superior striker.

I was pissed when I heard Aldo beat Hominick 50-43 but apparently they messed up and it was really 48-45. One that did bug me also was Hendo-Bocek. I have no problems with Henderson winning but that was a competitive fight and every single judge scored every single round for Hendo. Its like Bocek would have needed a stoppage to earn a draw.

I thought the Henderson/Bocek fight was a perfect example of a close, competitive fight where the winner clearly won all three rounds.
It would be a stretch, in my opinion, to give Bocek any of the rounds. He was game and never gave up, but still didn't do enough to take a round.

Bendo won 1st and 3rd round clearly for me but the 2nd was a close one so anyone could have got that round

GSP won every round. The scoring was mad.

Aldo won the first 4 and lost the last 10-8.

    I think Henderson Bocek might have been a 2-1 not a 3-0.

I think Aldo did more damage in the 4rth than Homminick in the last.

A 10-8 for Aldo is feasible too.
