I don't know if this is a bad sign about the popularity of MMA or a bad sign of the popularity of UFC. I personally like MMA, but I do not like the UFC product or the president. I also never buy PPV whether it's bpxing or MMA. I'd just rather wait for the replay. I think if UFC is gonna stick to the limelight they need to treat and pay their fighters better. Re-brand their image so the older generation can appreciate it too. Too many skulls, tattoos, and hoodies. I think keep it for the frat boys, but add in some variety of products. Expand your talent pool. Half of the fighters come from the U.S.
I am not a fan of MMA or UFC. I still fear that those results cross over to boxing as fighting sports in general seem to get less popular.

There is of course the fact that women get paid less than men in every sport. WNBA salaries are tiny compared to NBA salaries for example. Or soccer...Abby Wambach has had a comparable level of success in soccer as the top male players. However, she probably makes less than 10% of what the top male players make. There's plenty of reasons for that, and many of them are the same as in UFC. And let's not forget women's boxing. How many woman are even making a living wage in boxing?
