Ok I just looked at Sherdog's list of the salaries earned for the entire ppv card and it totals roughly 1.5 million for EVERYBODY. Ok maybe its me but that sux that these fighters arent getting paid jack for all this work. Rashad made 130,000 after being undefeated in 18 fights and he is now the champion. To my limited knowledge, I dont think there is any other undefeated champ at this moment. Quintion earned 325,000 for whipping up on Wanderli and hes is going on 30 fights. Not to compare boxing salaries to this but Ricardo Torress and Kendall Holt made more money in their fights and they are really middle tier.

This is one reason that irks me about UFC or at least Dana White. Maybe I am behind but where does all the money go?

Since MMA fighters can rise to the top in like 7 fights, it suits them to not get that much money. Most boxers toil and sweat endlessly for years before they even get to make a 6 figure salary or even get a title shot. Whats better, to have 15 MMA fights in 2 years and get a $150,000 pay day or like some boxers go through 40 fights in 7 years before even getting the same kind of money for one fight? Boxers money is much harder earned. A guy like Brock Lesnar can have 3 f%ckin fights then fight for the heavyweight championship. I'm an MMA fan but its that lack of paying dues that I don't like.

floyd made 5000 his fifth fight and after 40 fights he made 20 million in his 40th fight.
Wanderlei Silva made 200K in his 42nd fight. Now tell me Zuffa aint raping these guys without a condom.

The UFC stays in business when most boxing and other MMA organizations fail. Very few promoters turn a profit. They usually just run to a new financial backer when the last one is sucked dry.
Boxers in particular have been spoiled but that well is soon to also dry up. The UFC continues to thrive as a result of its pragmatic business approach.
