As far as the term goes...which seems to be what you are referencing...Lee didn't use the term mma either.
No, Jack just went out and fought professional fights whilst Bruce wrote a book and pretended to kick Chinese extras.... You truly are a ****ing idiot
yea in boxing however bruce lee was more influential on the upcoming of mma. you truly are a ****ing idiot.
How was Bruce Lee influential? Honestly can somebody give me an example of a direct influence he played on the sport? The only one I can think of A. Silva being a big fan but even then its not like he fights according to JDK. MMA can directly trace its roots back to two things; the Brazilian fighting scene (Gracies, Vale Tudo, Luta Libre) and the Japanese shoot wrestling circuit (Karl Gotch, Billy Robinson, Antonio Inoki, UWF-I). From the former we eventually got the UFC and from the latter we got Pancrease, Rings and ultimately Pride. There's no evidence for Bruce Lee having an influence on either which is why like most traditional martial arts JDK has been concispicous by its lack of application to MMA. I honestly believe you could make an argument for Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat having a greater direct impact than him.
Idiot Effective punching, clinch work, wrestling and JJ are evidenced in every single MMA card you will watch, Every single one. Jack was talking about combining these techniques together before Bruce was even born. As well as actually putting his ass on the line and fighting other fighters professionally Let me put it this way Jack was training Marines for close quarter combat in WW2 Bruce taught George Lazenby how to kick a heavy bag Which of these was the more influential on the world society today?
When I say influential, I mean it in terms of he undoubtedly inspired alot of people, mainly North Americans, to take up martial arts and train Back in the day, guys were joining Karate gyms in their droves. And Machida aside, we all know how ineffective this art is in Professional MMA competitions. I guess Im echoing your point about JDK. But in terms of actually pioneering what is effective in a cage, I dont think Bruce has any influence like you said Bruce, quite simply, is the most famous person to talk about cross training in Martial Arts. And that's it
ok yes i do agree with these parts, i guess in terms of world society yea jack dempsey has affected the world of mma more now that you have presented this evidence.
As usual, you are too dumb to see the difference between having trained men for life and death combat situations as opposed to having famous faces eulogising your abilities after your untimely death So school me, how EXACTLY did Bruce invent MMA
well i believe this is the history of the evolution of mma however i do believe that bruce lee had a heavy influence upon mma even though it was through his movies. http://www.mmanewsleak.com/latest-news/mma-fighters-talk-about-bruce-lee/22693
your just acting crazy right now i never said he was the creator of mma i only said that he used the term mma and developed some influence of mma.:hi:
