Must say that I used to really enjoy MMA, however, I've found myself less and less interested in it every passing day. Pride was fantastic. However, there hasn't been a really big fight in the UFC that has caught my interest in a long time.
The problem is all these big fights are turning out to be a load of ****. Say what you want about Brock Lesnar, but at least he was always in an entertaining fight. The whole Rashad/Rampage buildup was for an average if not below par fight, GSP has been in countless borefests recently with the only interesting thing being Dan Hardy's rubber limbs, now this big Strikeforce PPV wasn't the finale they were hoping for (but hopefully Fedor vs. Hendo delivers, how could it not?) You've got these fights they are hyping up to the general masses and they capture their imaginations brilliantly but they're all turning sour. Every time, every fight that gets hyped mostly turns out to be a shitfest now. Even Hardy vs. Johnson had the safety first wrestling approach. Carwin vs. JDS was meant to be this explosion and JDS just stopped with the pressure. It's been a bad past few cards for MMA, but hopefully it will pick up. Many good fights to come, I keep the faith. But jesus, Wrestlers can be so very ****ing boring. Bring back the old school wrestlers.
Werdum should have had points deducted for his disgraceful "tactics". Continuously throwing yourself onto your back, legs spread, as though he longed to be entered anally via the missionary position whenever he took a solid strike was as cowardly as it was *****.
didnt jds vs carwin meant to be a epic war? atsch the ferti bros and dana are so dumb, they should for example that in the heavyweight division they have not much talent beside cain and jds and that they should combine ALL the strikeforce fighters with the ufc, so reem, barnett and other talented guys come in....but carwin, fat ass nelson and so many others are overrated as hell
you totaly right, pride was the truth, so much action, ufc is a boring wrestling fest compared too pride
This times 10. I don't think JDS has ever been in a boring fight, even his last two decisions I found exciting.
