Merabs conditioning proven after hanging in there. Many of those body shots would have stopped lesser fighters.
Hell yea! Commentary booth was making it sound a lot closer than it was. Merab got the **** kicked out of him, and also got the **** beaten out of him. It was brutal. Lets see if Yan can successfully defend his belt this time.

This is why fighters take long breaks in-between fights, same thing happened to De Ridder against Brendan Allen. Congrats to Petr Yan I guess, I’m really salty because I absolutely hate that guy but it is what it is.
Rd 1 and 2 to Merab on one card. Yan the rest. Yan swept the fight after Rd 1 on the other 2 cards. Good scorecards either way. Yan has had his fair share of hard luck so it's good to see him get a fair shake against a dominant champion.
Wondered where this version of Yan went that man handled other guys. Seemed like after the BS loss against AJ DQ he has fought way with in himself. He could of possibly stopped Merab if he dug with a few more body shots.
Been enjoying absorbing the yan/merab aftermath a bit, seeing all the praise for both guys, how it was mma at its highest level, ect. I think its in my top 5 favorite mma fights of all time lol. Yan vs Umar and Omalley would make for nice fights. I really hate that omalley has a win over yan... will be nice to see yan avenge that.
