Someone made an interesting observation on another thread. They said that there has been a steady upturn in decisions in UFC matches. Do you think that it is because MMA is experiencing the Tic Tac Toe effect? For those if you unfamiliar with what that is, its when two people are new to Tic Tac Toe, there are always winners and losers. But after awhile, once you figure out the pattern, you know every move, every counter move, and the game always ends in a tie. You never see a winner between two competent TTT players. Are we reaching a point in MMA where everybody is nullifying everybody else's moves, eventually causing nearly every fight at the highest level to go to a decision? Or do you see that as a precursor to shifting MMA's emphasis away from grappling as it begins to lose its effectiveness?
Wrestling will always be the most important factor in MMA and those ontop will always get the nod if the fight goes the distance
