Ngannou and Usyk showed in this match a great way how the little guy can get out of the clinch on a giant. Huge boxers, including Fury, have been dominant in the clinch, including hugging, and this has made for some boring fights over the years, but last night's fight was different - Usyk was able to pull it off very skillfully and eventually beat Fury. I think it can be an advantage for athletes to learn to wrestle like that.

I agree, Crawford is a wrestler as well and he was strong as hell and they cant push him around in the clinch.

If you go back watch, when a drunk Fury was attempting to close the gap, Usyk nailed him with some short shots to prevent any pause in the action. This is what complete fighters do. This is what Wlad would have been served up.

Wlad was better at spoiling than Fury. Fury gets his whole reputation for "the clinch" from one fight against Wilder.
Wladimir made it an essential part of his style.
