Out of everone who still fights, who do y'all recommend me study to learn defensive footwork from that I also can get their career set easily?
I plan to box and have power but rely heavily on counterpunching and defense but can press the action when needed.
IMO I would check out Mayweather, Hopkins, and Wlad...Keeping you opponents at bay and can transition from defecne to offense...Pay attention to their movement...You'll see how they evade punishment and how they put themselves in a postion to inflict damage.
:goodThanks I planned on getting Mayweather and Hopkins career sets anyways but thanks for the suggestions.
Dawson has footwork and I like his fights should I get his career set:huh? The only thing is once I get a fighter's career set if I already am not, I become a fan of theirs. Nothing wrong with liking Dawson at all though:good
Mayweather has amazing defensive footwork, because he uses it offensively. The guy is ALWAYS in position to punch. Always. And that's damn good defense (And I'm rooting for Mosley!)
I've always admired the Cubans in the Olympics. There style of fighting with their footwork always seemed magical to me. Pernell Whitaker had good footwork. Luisito Espinosa as well.
That's my pick. When BHop is in his "A-Game" mode he displays very precise, conservative, and clever footwork while using minimal effort and energy.
Good Footwork Sergio Martinez Cory Spinks David Haye Tim Bradley Lucian Bute Bad Footwork Carl Froch Kelly Pavlik Arthur Abraham Andre Dirrell
