Thel Torrence , a man who was schooled by the late and great Eddie Futch.. along with Hedgemon Lewis and Kenny Croom. Dan Birmingham, Enzo Calzaghe, The coaches at Universum (Fritz sduneck) all very underrated........

Kenny Adams too........ and the other Mayweather, Jazzi Jeff...

enzo calzaghe talks **** sometimes but not so long ago he had three world champions fighting out of his camp and that is not to be sniffed at.
he is betterthan people give him credit for,it is just his big mouth that spoils it for him.

Im glad you didn't put Buddy Mcgirt on there because he doesn't seem to have a %ucking Scooby Doo.

I would say Floyd Senior or Freddie Roach, a toss up between the 2 because they seem to be able to take fighters and improve on what they already have instead of making them fight outside of their comfort zone or by trying to impose a totally different style for them.

I think also that Manny Steward is a totally overated trainer, I dont rate him as a trainer, he has just been blessed to work with naturally gifted fighters or fighters with size or strength attributes, i.e. Klitschko and Lennox Lewis.

Exactly as I said Bigcat. Glad that somebody else sees how good of a trainer Torrence is other than myself. What has he been up to lately anyway?

I think a few things spoil him as a trainer.

Basically, as much as I have grown to hate Calzaghe since he fought Hopkins, he is a freakishly good boxer - Enzo tries to make his other fighters Calzaghe clones.

Had Maccarinelli fought to his strengths against Haye, he would have still got knocked out, but not in two rounds. Long armed punchers shouldn't fight in close!

i think nacho gets a bad rap for oscar, he had too little time to do anything about it. it had more to do with manny than nacho. if i would pick it might be steward, he's got the experience and knows how to bring out the best in every fighter. Roach is up there as is Mayweather,sr
