No one too old, so we don't start talking about guys we've never seen in film or only on grainy black and white footage.

So, who do you think wins these fantasy fights:

    (1) Lightweight Floyd Mayweather v Lightweight Shane Mosley.

    (2) Lightweight Floyd Mayweather v Lightweight Roberto Duran.

    (3) Bantamweight Carlos Zarate v Bantamweight Rafael Marquez.

    (4) Minimumweight Ricardo Lopez v Minimumweight Ivan Calderon.

    (5) Featherweight Naseem Hamed v Featherweight Erik Morales.

    (6) Middleweight Bernard Hopkins v Middleweight Marvin Hagler.

    (7) Welterweight Vernon Forrest v Welterweight Felix Trinidad.

( 8 ) Welterweight Miguel Cotto v Welterweight Ike Quartey.

    That'll do.

Get going. Who do you think would win these match-ups? Name of fighter and method of victory (ie: Cotto UD/KO)

    Lets discuss these ones.:good

Hamed Vs Morales jumped out at me there.

I dont think Hamed could cope with Erik's workrate, not at all.
In fact I'd go as far to say...peak on peak...Morales forces the late stoppage.

But Morales does put himself in harms way, and Hamed is a huge puncher at FW.

Does Morales have the same ring-smarts that Barrera had to wear Hamed down or win on points?

He's not his own and I'm pretty sure I can put Fleas vote in as well.

It isn't in my view...Ken Buchanan beats every one of Floyds 3 opponents at LW and in better style than Money...Duran would destroy them.

    Pick 'em

    Duran PTS.

    Zarate KO 6.

    Lopez PTS (banker)

Morales. I always thought this was a tougher fight for Naz than MAB

    Hagler PTS ( I think!!)

    Forrest PTS/

    Quartey PTS with the jab?

The only one I have a "slight" issue with is the Hamed - Morales one.

Pre-fight, I don't think anyone thought Barrera would come with the plan he did, the box and move style. Plus Hamed may have slipped a bit by this point. I wouldn't disagree with your choice, just think that prime Hamed is in with a better shout against Morales than against Barrera. He still probably wouldn't win though. Morales was a ****ing machine in his prime.

I've gone for the best versions at the weights. I never fancied Morales for Naz TBH, I thought he MIGHT do MAB but not Morales.

Hagler-Hopkins is a tricky one. Hagler was the better fighter but he had trouble with the "thinkers" like Hopkins. I'll stick with Marvin though.

The only two that I am reasonably certain about are:

    Duran KO 10
Zarate KO...anytime, the others look pickems to me and you could argue the toss either way
