As I previously said in this thread, I think Pacs style is quite dangerous against Naz, for the only reason that both were hittable even at their best (best performance against the best opposition rather, so Barrera for Pac and Kelley or Johnson for Naz) but I feel Naz's punching power was more aesthetically destructive at this weight.

It's a 50-50 IMO, Naz really did hit freakishly hard at the weight, I think the best Naz woulda taken out McCullough but I'm not particularly impressed with Naz in that fight.

Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley.

Right, Mosley at Lightweight, for me anyway, was much less technically rounded but relied much more on athletic prowess, i.e using his speed and power to overwhelm opponents.

I do not think that is how to beat Floyd Mayweather, if you are going to apply pressure it has to be clever and consistent IMO. Mosley will be too erratic in his application of pressure and Mayweather will be able to stay in controll. The speed of Mosley is a problem but I do think Mayweather would deal with it fairly well as he dealt with Judah who arguably is as fast as Mosley.

All in all, I just think Mayweather is flat out better and a more well rounded technician.

Floyd Mayweather vs Roberto Duran.

Mayweather struggled with Castillo when Castillo got right in his face, backed him onto the ropes and kept him there. A Lightweight Duran was perfect at this swarming type of attack as he showed vs Ken Buchanan.

Duran is going to be closing down the ring and backing Mayweather up whilst swarming all over him with his usual ferocious attack. In a fight that resembles Duran vs Buchanan.

Carlos Zarate vs Rafael Marquez.

Rafa's best success is going to come early, where Zarate looks to suss out his man and Rafa tends to keep focussed and boxes. After this initial probing period Zarate is going to start to up his game and counter Marquez and sucker him into a brawl IMO. When this happens I like Zarate's cleaner and crisper shots to take Marquez out of there.

Ricardo Lopez v Ivan Calderon.

Calderon was an excellant defensive technician down at Minimumweight and in all honesty was a superb all round technician. As he used angles on defence and offence to look for opening to pick off.

Lopez is a tight boxer-puncher and is very very accurate, this is going to be a necessary trait as he will not get alot of chances but he has to make them count.

Calderon will be moving looking to 'out box' Lopez from long range with quick steps inside before spinning off and keeping Lopez from being set. However, Lopez is at his best from long range and can time Calderon coming in and counterpunch the counterpuncher so to speak. Lopez's superior offence and firepower mean he will be in controll in any of these mini exchanges. In a fairly boring fight.

Naseem Hamed vs Erik Morales.

I have my doubts in this one.

Morales I feel is flat out better and can back up Hamed and force him on to the back foot in a very tough fight for both men. His superior offence is better in almost every single way and both men have poor defences. However Morales is hittable and Naz could hit hard, but would it be enough to offset El terrible? I don't think it would.

Bernard Hopkins v Marvin Hagler.

Hopkins is a very sound technician and can exploit the flaws in southpaws. Hagler IMO is very adept at taking away his opponent's jab and in this bout it is no difference Hopkin's jab would be ineffectual as hagler very rarely gets tagged by a jab.

Hopkins likes to controll the distance and the tempo of a fight and he might be able to controll the distance in this fight as the taller man and has that superb right he uses against left handers. Hagler however will be dictating the pace IMO and taking the fight to Hopkins and making him uncomfortable.

Actually I could see Hopkins use of the right hand, counterpunching ability and feinting making Hagler slightly cautious and causing Hopkins to eke out a decision in maybe one fight in a trilogy btu Ill go Hops now.

On these last two I cant really think about them as I have never really analysed Tito and I have only seen 1 quartey fight.
