Im imagining it wouldn't make a difference to Richard Steele stopping it with 2 seconds to go of the 12th

He was running at the end though. If Chino had an extra 3 rounds... Khan might have left on a stretcher.

Stupid thread. It is much easier to name fights that WOULD last 15 rounds.

:yep I was going to say something like this. Plus, we have to factor in the butterfly effect in that a lot of these fights the mindset would be different. I think Martinez-Chavez is the perfect example. If the fight were 15 rounds instead of 12 rounds I don't think Maravilla goes in and trades with Chavez. He would have done that in the 15th round in which case the outcome would have, more than likely, stayed the same.

Other examples, like Bute-Andrade I, is a perfect one where Bute was toast. Bute shouldn't have survived the 12th round and if there were 15 rounds he sure as hell wouldn't have made it.

I disagree heavily with this example.

If Sergio/Chavez was a 15 rounder, Chavez's late charge wouldn't have ever happened in the 12th round, it would have happened in the 15th if at all.

While I agree with your first 3, I don't think Kovalev would have stopped Hopkins. If it was a 15 rounder, Hopkins would never have taken the chances he did in the 12th - he would have kept doing the same thing until the 15th.
