Modern Greats who were poorly managed/fed to the lions early on?

    He has a decent short cross but apart from that I agree fully. But stamina in the ring definitely has a bit to do with experience, id say there's a big mental component

    Tszyu was a guy that went into the lions den pretty early on and was not fed a bunch of softies. He sure didn't take the path of least resistance, which is the norm.

    Unless your me. I tried the super active on the 6 rounders thing...I had to knock a dude out early to get any rest, my limbs felt like linguini for a full year.

    That said, you are absolutely correct on the whole. Keeping busy, and stepping up opposition on a curve thats moderately quick but appropriately steep for you is where the genius lies.

    Go to slow, they never get there and the moment(their prime) passes. Go to fast, your prospect gets an ass whupping.

    I should also add that its always better to turn pro young(Before 30) than it is to have a long and fruitful amateur career. I feel like the Cuban defectors on the whole are really up against it for how late they come in.
