Akhror Muralimov is the closest thing to Galento in today's division, and even he makes Galento look crude.

The top cruiserweights on average have greater speed, skills, conditioning and athleticism than the top heavyweights, with the exception of the upper echelon, yet the number of cruiserweights who have been able to successfully transition to heavyweight is still relatively tiny. Fighters who were considered one punch bangers like Adamek turn into fragile feather fists when put against men who outweigh them by twenty, thirty, forty pounds. Not even good fighters either but guys like Kevin McBride and Michael Grant. Size isn't everything but it can count for a whole lot if it's not just fat.

Today's athletes - regardless of size - are of course much better in every respect than those from 100 years ago.

I love the way he flings his chin in the air every time he throws them. Must be some old timey secret defensive move against counter punchers that none of today's trainers know anything about.

The only person that is mentally challenged is you, for creating a Valuev vs Joshua thread, and not understand how it does not prove your point.

Im an AJ Fan but wouldnt say he "Owned" Klitschko.
He was very impressive and it was a big statement he made KOing Wlad, but did not by any means "Own" him.

Agreed. Price, the Kiltschkos and Lewis are all SHWs, but Price isn't any good, and he's the tallest and heaviest of the four mentioned...

Modern day marines would get decimated by ancient roman gladiators in physical combat.

A 45 year old tubby will never come out of retirement and win the grand slam in tennis. Never , ever ever.

Boxing is not connected to other sports so making irrelevant blanket statements like that serves no argument.

Does Canelo beat Jesse Ownes in the 100 metres simply because he exists now and Owens existed back then?? :nut::facepalm:
