    1. Wills first beat Langford in 1914, he was considered number 1 contender or there abouts until 1926

    2. No they don't have those common opponents but Greb beat Miske emphatically when Miske was by many accounts beating Dempsey.

    3. Tunney's resume includes 2 of the best 3 of his era, Dempsey's resume has none of these names, Tunney's wins over Dempsey and Greb are better than anything Dempsey ever did

    4. The balance of evidence suggest Tunney won the series, and Greb is better than anyone Dempsey faced at HW I believe its 1-0 anyway

    5. Gibbons likely was past his best, but only 2years older than when Dempsey faced him and he hadn't lost in the interim

    6. Still a top contender and deemed good enough to figth for Dempsey's title

    7. Still a top contender, and at his best when Tunney beat him, Risko would go on to take numerous scalps but maybe wasnt primed

    8. No Wills isn't built up because Dempsey didn't face him, hes built uop because from 1914-1926 he has the best resume in HW boxing and Dempsey's resume over that period doesn't come close

    9. Now you're reaching beyond belief, firstly Wills didn't really lose to Tate it was a freak DQ and he beat Tate 4 times!!!!!!!! He did draw with him too but Tate himself beat Langford 3 times, the first time in 1917 before Fulton beat him

    10. His resume is the stand out of the era, Demspey moves up several wins and it would be an obvious stand out win if he managed to pull it off

    11. Ummm no by the time Robinson moved to 147 from LW to face Servo/Zivic practically all the murderer's row would never fight 147 or below again, bar Cocoa Kid. The only weight those fight were really a possibility was at MW

    12. Sadly there wasn't that much interest from boxing fans at the time

    13. Both Tunney and Wills have superior resumes to Dempsey and its not that close

I think a lot of the old-timers were on A-side meth.
Remember it was used in the American-Phillipine war 1899–1902.

Nowadays only Pacquiao uses it. Back in the 1890s all the top fighters were using it.
