Who are some current fighters who prefer to fight at range, and use their skills?

Outboxer generally refers to a quick mover with fast hands and reflexes, not much power. Ali and Holmes types.

Boxer-puncher is a term for fighters like Wladimir and Lewis who don't have the quickness and movement of the outboxers but make up for it with raw power.

Rigondeaux, Mayweather, Wladimir spring to mind as the best examples.

Wlad. With his world class jab and right hand, combined with a significant height and reach advantage, and good hand and foot speed he's King at being a modern out-fighter. Once a fighter tastes his power, his enthusiasm re-engage often goes South.

Mayweather can do it, but he relies on defense and a counter shot to keep his man at bay.

i wouldn't say Floyd and whitaker are outboxer...theire best distance is middle range not long range they are counterpunchers

infighter and outboxer style are dying in modern boxing the guys create their style by mixing long, middle and close range

in the active boxers i can only think of algieri, jermell charlo and lara

maybe Floyd turned a little bit to outboxing in his last 2 fights because he is aging and need more distance to react to punches like he used to
