Povetkin at 6ft 2 and Allen at 6ft 3 would fight price but Ali at 6ft 3 and infinitely better skills would not because price is too tall LMAO.
Ali got dropped by180 pound Cooper, how does he take the 260 pound Price power? Ali would get hurt badly. It's a new era.
Ali was only 21 year old and only had 19 fights when he got dropped by cooper and he was messing about like young green fighters can do, he realised he made a mistake got up and kicked his ass. You do realise Ali has fought a 260lb fighter in Buster Mathis and took his power just fine. Also weight doesn’t always = most power look at fury can’t punch for toffee at 260lbs also Ali has been in with some of the hardest punches of all time who can definitely punch as hard and probably harder than price. And all this weight and height didn’t help him when he got KTFO by a 6ft2 220lb fighter last year are you for real.lol
Like Ali would lose to a slow Price who has one of the worse chins ever. Ali of 1967 was much different compared to the 1963 version. Ali was the better skilled, had the better stamina, better chin and has some of the best wins of all time in the heavyweight division lol One of the easiest fantasy match ups ever discussed. Ali would knock Price out and he would predict the round and be correct.
This it's pretty obvious really ! I mean ,Ali lost to Leon spinks Pffff Mohammed doesn't stand a chance ..
Mismatch. What does Ali have to worry Price? Price pinpoint control as well as velocity. He can back Ali off the plate with 96mph heater and comeback with the changeup. Ali will be coming out of his shoes trying to hit that. A little bit of chin music if he is hanging out over the plate. I'm thinking if Ali faces him 3 times Price will strike him out on 9 pitches.
I watched Ali live from 1970 right up until his final fight. I cheered against him every time and waited for some of the strongest punchers in hwt history to knock him out. Never happened. Anyone and I mean anyone predicting any opponent would stop Ali is playing a fools game. Would never occur especially with Ali at his best. Ali was too fast, and too great a fighter but most importantly they don’t come tougher. Ali looked so quick against quick opponents. Can you imagine how fast he would appear in the ring with the huge but oh so slow hwts of today. Ali would cut them to ribbons.
He didn't he was badly rocked and Dundee cheats to buy more time. If big price landed on him he would knock Ali half way across the atlantic
Ali got about 3 seconds extra at the end of the 4th round against Cooper. “If big Price landed on him?!?” You think that would happen against a prime Ali? The plodding Price wouldn’t get near him. Even post exile Ali when he slowed down and was easier to hit was never floored against men like Foreman, Shavers, Lyle, Bonavena, Quarry and others. Joe Frazier managed it once in 42 rounds against Ali. So you think a glass jawed oaf like Price who shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence as Ali is going to achieve this? Ali would toy with him and believe me have the power to knock him out if he chose. I don’t know why i’m actually debating this nonsense.
Some of the posters on this (all probably born after 1990 and up) can't seem to grasp the concept that their were very big and well schooled fighters during the Louis and Ali eras that were practically embarrassed when they stepped up to to face ATG competition. They don't get size DOESN'T equate to punching power or skill level for men over 200 lbs. They don't get Fury, or Canera, Mathis Sr. Or Terrell SHOULD'VE been some of the heaviest punchers in history, if pure size and strength was the deciding factor. But not one was the heaviest punchers of their OWN era's. Sad that boxing in itself, and some of the fans themselves have fallen so far.
You obviously never seen the fight, yes rocked but there was only a couple of seconds gained by Dundee and Ali showed his recuperative powers ,another attribute Ali has over price, as well as speed , a chin, better ring IQ ,ring craft, guile, will to win, more skill, and price as shown me s—t . That would make me think he could beat Ali, and Ali never knocked out. Not like glass jaw price, just rocked then he leathered henry, if this was prime for prime not even a contest and you know it lol. try not to result to folklore it will be your undoing Ps I suppose the crowd were getting frantic. Lol
