The undefeated 26 year old East Londoner of Desi descent (dad from Pakistan, mom from India) announced that he will be ringside for the Saúl Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford & Christian M'billi vs. Lester Martínez card tomorrow, intending to call out the winner of either fight. Canelo vs. Bud is the likelier proposition, and Frank W. has already said it's a "no-brainer".

Tale of the tape versus all four combatants:

    • Sheeraz at 6'3" and 75" would have 6½″ of height and 3" of reach over M'Billi, and is four years younger.
    • Sheeraz would have 7" of height and 3½″ of reach over Martínez, and is three years younger.
    • Sheeraz would have 7½″ of height and 4½″ of reach on Álvarez, and is nine years younger.
    • Sheeraz would have 6" of reach but no height advantage over Crawford, and is eleven years younger.

In professional boxing, there is not a single world champion currently who is taller than Hamzah Sheeraz.

Sheeraz is a hype job of the highest order, and levels will be brutally shown if he somehow fights the winner.

Pitting him against the Bud vs Canelo winner is a stretch, and would be completely undeserved, although I do like Hamzah and was very happy he obliterated Berlanga, Berlanga is no test at all at 168. Canelo didn't get out of first gear, won every round, and dropped him heavily. Really, he should be lined up for the winner of Mbili vs Martinez, but both of them are relatively unknown names, and both of them beat Sheeraz pretty easily, so I can't see either of them fights materialising anytime soon. Probably a big cash-out fight in Riyadh against Canelo if Canelo beats Crawford.

We've moved beyond all semblance of things happening in this sport because they're deserved...it's now "whatever Turki wants, Turki gets". Same goes if we do end up seeing Joshua vs. Paul, or Usyk vs. Itauma next year.

If his excellency finds that match-up interesting, Sheeraz will absolutely get the crack at winner - earned or not.

Sheeran realistically is only one fight away from a title shot at Super middleweight. He is already ranked highly, especially with the WBO and WBC, so with a win over a top 10 he would be moving into mandatory position.

At this point I'd say it's too early for him to face Canelo, he's only just moved up, and though he has the length je needs time to put it altogether with his new trainer.

He seems like a smart and sensible guy so I can imagine that he focuses on his training and takes it seriously which can count for a lot in the long run.

Although Canelo is clearly the favourite I can see Sheeraz having a chance at winning this, especially as time marches on because he will only improve while Canelo already looks to be on the decline.

What?! WTF you mean with Sheeraz have no height advantage over Crawford, are you trying to say they have the same height??? Lol

:duh Other way around, just mixed up the word order when typing (if you see the other three I put the height first and then reach).

    6" height advantage, same reach.
