Black dudes here call it smart and beautiful boxing when those other guys do it, but when someone who isn't black does it, its unwatchable...You know this is all true, BENNY.
Embellish much? Molina got caught, and went down. It really wasn't all that bro. Molina got up at the count of 3. He wasnt dazed, confused or disoriented. Molina was completely controlling the fight......be just got clipped at the last second of the round.
If anyone was getting their **** pushed in, it was Kirkland who was getting schooled almost the entire fight...Molina got put down but looked fine and ready to continue. Is that you Gale Van Hoye??
Yes there is clear double standards but a lot of Mexican posters whined and complained about Mosley's clinching in the Margarito fight but when Molina does it, you don't see them have one ounce of criticism for him. But all the fighters get criticism for it, just not from everybody given what their agenda is.
You can exclude me from that list, because i rarely never complain about clinches. ****, Hopkins and Ward are 2 of my favorite fighters
Your correct. Even so if Kirkland would have retaliated buy using his elbows to square up and make space he would have evened things up. In Mayweather vs Hatton, Mayweather kept his elbows in front of him to keep from getting tied up and hit buy Hatton. When Hatton out wrestled Tszyu he was pushing forward and trapping his arm all night.
I see a huge difference between Bradley and Molina's stall tactics. Bradley always has a come forward style and can lead to a clinch, where as Molina only came forward to intentionally grab and wrestle. I see a difference between falling into a clinch and looking to wrestle. And if I will get labeled a hypocrite then so be it, go Bradley. Have a good one fella's.
Bull****. All those guys take quite a bit of criticism here and around the web. Ward and Hopkins especially. Hopkins is a boring ass fighter, he's been in very very few "good" fights in his career, that said the skill difference between him and Molina is monumental. Ward does actual in-fighting, not just clinching, he will work inside.. Molina didn't.. Molina held then hit on breaks or hit after pushing off.
"He was just lucky the ref wanted James to win"...if that's the case wy didn't the referee acting officiate the bout according to the rules, which would have benefited Kirkland?
Nice f'n post, man. :good I noticed that as well. I was screaming at the TV like, "Yooooo, this guy is literally holding the ringpost to keep Kirkland trapped (while clinched) in the corner. Horrible to win a fight (if he woulda won). I woulda had no problem DQ'ing him had I been the ref. Fight fans don't pay to see that shite. This is boxing not gay porn.
Wasnt dazed or disoriented? The ref had to physically direct him to his corner because he didn't know where it was.
Yes that's true. And props to them for staying consistent. But I'm not really referring to them. It's those with double-standards that I'm talking about. Kind of like what you've just done there (just a little bit) in the bit highlighted green. Ward and Hopkins have also done their fair share of hitting after holding and pushing off. And I think it's totally unfair to say that, just because you have a higher level of skill, you can be excused slightly more for fighting dirty. All these have one solid thing in common - doing what's necessary to get the better of their man whilst the referee let's them do it.
