Molitor, for a B level fighter did very well in ducking any live opponents for a year or so.When he fought someone who would actually punch back in anger he was finished.
Molitor's footwork has never been good with dealing with pressure. I was disappointed with how this one went, but knew that footwork and inability to get off the ropes effectively was going to catch up to him.
It was funny that before the fight, he said it was gonna be a boxing clinic, and that he would win every round! :rofl
He was talking a lot of **** about everyone around his weight class prior to that fight. He had an inflated conception of his abilities. Saying how he'd "outbox the bum no problem" when asked about anyone, basically. Hopefully this fight humbled him and brought to his own mind the limitations in himself that he was apparently overlooking.
Basically the poor footwork came to light in the fight. It had been showing up in the previous fights at Rama also. I believe it was 3K Battery that dropped him, and it was because Molitor moves awkwardly along the ropes. When he gets into a corner he tends to want to go flying out of it, he's not comfortable in tight and loses his composure, tries to get out fast. He got timed and dropped. Caballero just didn't let him away with it.
But at 5'11 hes a freak and he's awkward...IF he could keep on the outside and not get caught by ne thing he could pull off a knockout...Vasquez is only 5 foot 4 1/2 and marquez is 5'5
He cant, he's not that good yet. He's not gonna keep them off with his jab because 1, he isn't that excellent with the jab, 2, thats not his fighting style.
