Molitor vs. Caballero...what a great style mesh-up. Will Molitor see off the puncher?

    Lately, Molitor has become more confident and has let his hands go more. It sounds crazy, but Molitor could end up stopping Caballero, rather than the other way around. Molitor's power is underrated, that's for sure. Any thoughts on this great match-up?

    Molitor would beat Caballero easily, and would diffuse Lopez IMO.

    Molitor UD but his power is not really underated.

    And i don't think he beats Caballero easily.

    Does anyone want to add something that might convince more of us that Caballero will win this fight? Some more insights about his style, his strengths or his likely tactic?:good

    He's gigantic for his weight and Molitor is possibly even a bit small for a 122 pounder. Caballero is good at controlling the distance with his jab, and is a good infighter as well. He also has enough power to make Molitor tentative if he can land a good one early. It's not too hard to see how Caballero could win this fight. I honestly have no idea how this fight will go though. The styles are just so different that it will depend on who's able to figure out the other one first, and how the other fighter is able to adjust. I could see it being a close fight, or being a blowout either way.

    If you're having trouble visualizing how Caballero might blow out Molitor, watch Funeka vs Raheem. If you're having trouble visualizing how the fight might be close, watch Calzaghe vs Bika, but pretend that Bika has a 6 inch height and reach advantage. If you're having trouble visualizing how Molitor might blow out Caballero, watch Mayweather vs Corrales :good

    If only Caballero was as good as Funeka! Funeka's punches are straighter. Caballero telegraphs a lot, throwing very wide. His footwork and balance are poor compared to Funeka too, not to mention Funeka is more powerful and faster, relative to his weight, than Caballero. Molitor is better than Raheem too, in my view. I can see Caballero winning too, but only if he lands big early and hurts Molitor a good couple of times on the back of that. I expect Molitor to dominate. I think it's his fight to lose, to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if we witnessed Molitor putting in a breakthrough performance.

    Molitor when he stays cool and boxes is the best fighter in all of 118-122. Easy UD.
