This fight is gonna be a classic, I can feel it. I have Molitor winning by a wide UD. In my opinion Molitor is one of the most technically sound fighters in boxing. He does everything very well (a little lacking in power but can bang occasionally), he has excellent rings smarts and adaptability, he throws every punch in the book and from all sorts of crazy angles, he has excellent footwork and defence, he's a superb counterpuncher he has great combo punching speed. This is a guy who (if he can get past Cabellero) very well might give Lopez, Vazquez, Marquez a run for their money and I wouldn't count him out against any of them. In fact, at this point, I think he teaches lopez a boxing lesson similar to what I expect him to do against Cabellero. Molitor has never received home cooking because he's won EVERY fight by very wide margins. He's got a decent resume too for a young guy. He won the title by going to hostile territory in UK against Hunter and dominating him then KO'ing him. His team have tried to get big fights in the US but no one lucrative wants a piece of him due to his lack of a name and all who want a piece of him ain't really worthy such as Dat Be Dat Nguyen and Mike Oliver. We all know what happened to Oliver he became a "never was" without a chin and Dat be Dat Nguyen is a borderline club fighter who's gonna need to do a whole lot more and step up his competetion tenfold if he ever wants a shot. Hopefully this Unification fight on showtime gives Molitor a name in the US and hopefully he'll start fighting in the US against the other top dogs at 122. This guy could very well be a future p4p top 10'er- he certainly has the skillset and on the 21st there's gonna be a lotta of people shocked and wondering how in the world this master technician has flown under the radar in the mainstream boxing media.
This fight has been much talked about on esb. I think Caballero will be Molitor's toughest test so far. Tall, rangy, powerful, good stamina and an incredible chin (see the PDL fight). I'm backing Molitor to win on footwork and smarts but my confidence is not at its highest level. If he does win, he has 2 of the 4 belts at 122, and that makes him the top dog behind Vasquez. What I'm worried is that Molitor will not have the pop to keep Caballero honest. In any case, he seems motivated, so there will be no excuses. Go Molitor!
This is a fight I am very excited about. Molitor can win this, but I am banking on the tall rangy banger.
gotta pick molitor by UD in this one. he is one of the slickest guys in boxing right now. i wonder if BHOP has seen him fight?
