Tommy Hearns KO'ing Cuevas with a right hand that seemed to corkscrew Pipino into the canvas. Trinidad hitting the canvas against Hopkins. Hopkins finishing off Kid Dynamite with a damaged shoulder in Hopkins/Echols 2. Foreman strugging to rise after being dropped by Ali in the jungle. Derrick Jefferson KO Maurice Harris.
nigel benn quitting on his stool in his last ever fight. i was only a kid but even then i never thought i'd see the day when benn just gave up.
Frankie "The Surgeon" Randal walking in the ring vs Chavez in their first bout. I remember thinking "who the heck is this joker... who does he think he is insinuating he will be performing surgery on Chavez". He later knocks down Chavez in the 11th round and wins the fight. His way of saying "The surgery was successful".
Watching Lennox Lewis becoming the first British national to be declared Heavyweight champ in a hundred years after beating Tony Tucker, i was ringside, it was quite a unique occasion... Mike Tyson beating Trevor Berbick.. Ollie McCall stopping Lewis against the odds... Larry Holmes face when he was declared the winner over Ray Mercer, he looked like he had finally been accepted by a lot of people who never quite showed thier appreciation of him in his prime.. Holyfield beating Tyson.. Meldrick Taylor getting stopped by Richard Steele in THAT fight !!!
Wlad getting knocked out after Brewster took everything he had to offer, thats my all-time favorite boxing moment. Worst moment was Tyson getting knocked out by Lewis, it was the closest I came to letting a tear drop in sadness during a fight.
Watching one of Bowe's posse crack a cell phone over Golota's head, and the brawl at MSG that followed.
THE BITE- Tyson biting Holyfield and the chaos afterward. It was the day before my high school graduation. Gatti/Ward 3: Before the start of the last round, both meet at the center of the ring and embrace, both mens hands on each other's shoulders, forehead to forehead giving eachother props for the first 15 seconds of the round, to cap off 3 wars, was truly amazing.
