I know this is a very vague question, but I'll ask it anyway.
Let's say you were a boxer, you are good enough to beat basically anyone except the guys ranked in the top 10 by the major governing bodies. What kind of money and lifestyle would you be able to afford if you were a ranked in the top 20 lets say as a heavyweight, sort of like a Jeremy Williams or Obed Sullivan. You liked to live well but not extravagantly, and you didn't have any drug habits, etc, and you always put money in the bank from your fights. What would your financial situation be like lets say after a 10 year career with no permanent injuries suffered in boxing and reasonably overall good health.
Again I know management and promoters, etc come into play, but if you were intelligent and looked out for yourself how well could you do after a decade of being a heavyweight fringe contender. Thanks for any info.

Being a stepping stone sucks. I remember Mike Dokes, a former champ, getting $1200 for a fight not long after his ridiculous affair with Bowe. Draw your own conclusions.
