And where will Pac stand? Will Pac be seen as greater than Floyd, lmao?

    See the logic?

Bob Arum has to get some blame, don't think that slimy little **** ever wanted to see his cash cow get outclassed off DLH's cash cow who just happens to be Mayweather.

Arum always sounded bitter as **** and not keen on getting that fight made.

Can't live down what exactly? The fact that Manny has done a complete 180 on drug testing, effectively making himself and every ******* that defended him look like the biggest group of idiots in boxing history? The fact that Manny isn't even making half of what Floyd offered him up front?

Pacquiao is coming off a brutal KO, and fighting Rios at 147 pounds who is coming off a loss at 140 pounds against Mike Alvarado. Yea, Pacquiao is really stepping it up right now.

Mayweather just added a lineal title at 154 and defeated an undefeated fighter. Mayweather is now arguably the #1 fighter in two divisions at the same time. (154 & 147)

Manny is irrelevant right now, seriously.

You mean some posters can't live down the fact that he came back and is still going strong while Manny's on a downward trend.

Expect these threads to multiply if Pacquiao does a job on Rios.

It's a fighters job to fight, not enforce regulations, and that is what will be forever remembered. As Larry Holmes said, if you truly believe you're the best you fight anyone regardless.

If the pressure mounts again Mayweather is only going to come up with more unrealistic conditions. He very well may be the best fighter of his generation, but Jack Dempsey doesn't get an alibi for not fighting Harry Wills, and the same applies here.

    Bull****.

Why does everybody else who isn't with Bob Arum have no issue dealing with Mayweather and his team? Where are all the complaints for "unrealistic conditions?" You mean like "$10 million per pound over the contracted limit?" I'd say that is pretty outrageous and "creating their own regulation." (Commissions have standard penalties in place for going over the contracted weight) And Mayweather agreed. Check the dates too since you know so much: As soon as Mayweather agreed to that ridiculous stipulation, Manny's team started to waver on the drug testing issue. They thought Mayweather would turn it down, he didn't, and they got shook looking for another way out of the fight. Why? Because they know Manny gets his ass kicked from post to post by Floyd.

Before Mayweather agreed to the $10 million per pound stipulation: "We have no problem with any testing."
After Mayweather agreed to the $10 million per pound stipulation: "We have a problem with extra testing."
-They wanted a way out of negotiations and a way to "stick it on Floyd" on the way out. That was their entire plan. It was never to make a fight, it was to market and build up Pacquiao. (They had the Clottey contract worked out in advance)

This bull**** about Mayweather ducking Manny doesn't fly anymore. That "unrealistic request" is something Manny is demanding now after getting knocked out by Marquez. It's clear as day to anybody who isn't a total idiot that Manny and Bob Arum ducked Floyd Mayweather.

It's not all on PBF, where's Pac's accountability in all of this?. PBF fights for Showtime and Pac for HBO it's deeper than just PBF needs to step up. There are many factors at play here that prevent this fight from happening.:deal

It may have sounded like a bit of an attack, but it's just a hunch.

Bob Arum is definitely another problem in getting this fight to happen, but did not the original problems start simply because Floyd believed Pacquiao to be on steroids? It started with an accusation.

Manny agreed to the tests, but then not to the degree Mayweather insisted, which is fine because a fighter has no right in running the show against a guy who was (at the time) arguably the bigger star.

Mayweather is probably the best fighter of his generation, and I'd fancy him to win, but talent and legacy are separate. These issues need to be addressed, and if left to rot Floyd's career will never get rid of the smell.

Too bad Manny didn't do that when he kept asking for weight penalties against fighters.

    Different circumstances.

Harry Wills didn't turn down a 50/50 split or have a promoter with an openly antagonistic relationship with Dempsey. Nor do Wills' fans defend Wills decision for not taking the fight because he doesn't have to 'bow down to Dempsey's demands'.
