To make it a good debate you should list the opponents who were superior to the ones he chose, firstly.
Next comes comparing his opponents to other guys in this era, so we can correctly judge how harsh we ought to be on just Mayweather, and we might find other fighters who we could also thus be harsher on, by holding the same light up to them.

And don't get me wrong, he has had a few weak fights but this isn't exclusively linked to Floyd Mayweather, if we look at the majority, not all, of other fighters resumes they have soft touches here and there, who were picked at worse times than a Baldomir, Guerrero or Berto.

What's funny is as bad as a Berto fight is for Floyd, A.Berto would be a top 5 win for.
    Thurman,Brook,Chavez,Khan,Porter ect..
Think about a fighter like GGG who's fought a grand total of 1 championship quality fighter in his career a guy like Berto would be top 3/5 for him.

    Pacquio fought

    MaB in his prime
    Morales at his peak
    And Marquez I'm his prime

    Please don't compare the two

If it's truly going to be his last fight, than I have no problem with him having quite possibly his softest opposition since Bruseles.

If he does intend to fight on a couple times more, than it'd be nice to see him take on someone like Lara or maybe venture up to 160 and take on one of the titlists as a prelude to fighting the winner of Cott-Canelo. Based on how he looked with Manny, I have no doubt he can win the lineal title up there, he just needs to get to it before Golovkin does.

Please... Morales after the 1st Manny fight was damaged goods after a Rahim ass-whoopin that Manny ran from by the way. After the fight #48 lost to Morales he never saw a prime Morales again. MAB was not in his prime when he met Manny. He was on his way out. And Floyd fought the version of Marquez that was ready to move up because of weak competition and no cash at 140lbs... Either way there's nothing to quantify Manny having the better resume.. NOthing..

Still doesn't take away that Manny undee Bob fought a game EM who was closer to his prime ..he also fought another atg in their prime in Mab who was what 28 29 under Bob and fought 4 epic matches with JMM under Bob yet to date people are still wondering what was Floyd's most memerobale performance under Bob or with out him.

Those 3 fights alone **** on 80% of Floyds resume easy !

    is this the same as:

Miguel Cotto was damaged goods when Pac fought him....

    .....and became....

a rejuvenated fighter before Floyd? :rofl

I have no problem who he fights now as people don't hype it up as a great last fight. Wish he could've taken Brook or Thurman though..

I dont think anyone questions Floyd's 'right'

But at the same time fans have the 'right' to give their opinion of the fight

Personally, this fight is not remotely interesting in any shape or form

And that opinion is hardly outlandish, its pretty rationale

If Floyd was saying " f*ck it, GGG at 154lb " I would be , **** yeah, thats what I wanna hear, Floyd taking on his toughest challenge yet....huge props

But if he fights Berto, its just, errrrrr ok, whatever, its a nothing fight, does nothing for floyd apart from a payday, does nothing for most objective boxing fans

He wasnt fighting at a catchweight drained, and fighting way more comfortably at 154. See the difference kiddo?
