154 has no king but I think Cotto and Lara are the 2 top fighters of the divsion.

and I'm tryn to tell you that for an important money fight he would go down and win. but either pw or dzinziruk werent no big money fights and williams himself is like 6'3 and was more comfortable at middleweight and was happy to go up.

When he, and some of his fans, are setting up the claim of 'going up and beating the best man in a higher division', then yes, it does really matter if that fighter is actually the king of the 154 division or not.

You'll claim that he, and his fans, aren't really trying to make such a claim, but I beg to differ. I've already heard a lot of them, after being picked as an opponent, inflate Cotto's status in the division to be the best. I

    Fine I'll do it.

So what you are saying is that someone has to be the best at a lower weight class before they can be the best at a higher weight class?

Is that so? hmm... now who would prove that theory wrong, ah this guy:

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6129&cat=boxer he went from getting KTFO'd by a bum to moving up and dominating a guy going into the Hall.

Well then you must be blind because he obviously doesn't feel the same way considering he walked away from the big money fight against Pirog.

As for he could whoop anybody, so ****ing what he hasn't done it and hasn't been at that weight in years. Is Bernard Hopkins the true number 1 Middleweight because he could kick the **** out of the 4 belt holders?

he was liek 16 years old and super green when he got beat, you dont wanna compare lil pacquiao to the monster he became by training hard, having good trainers and an special strength and conditioning trainer..

cotto was weight drained vs pacquiao lost, nevertheless it was obvious to see powerwise, handspeedwise that pacquiao was better than cotto at welter, or light middleweight or any other division and that cotto 100 % s not the 154 fighter out there. mayweather can make the weight comfortable, pacquiao won vs margarito who weight as an 154 fighter and looked good and sergio can make 154 and all 3 > cotto.

Margarito is a cement loading loser who got his ass handed to him by Cotto. There is no indication that the cement loader was anything without his cement.

Martinez hasn't made the weight in 3 years, so once again is Bernard Hopkins the Best Middleweight around because he used to be a Middleweight?

Pacquiao hasn't fought at 154 and when he did, he fought the cement loader for a trinket. Come back when he fights anyone else, preferably someone that actually deserved a shot at a belt.

oh yeah..you are one of them...

    154 pound belt holder

just like the 154 pound belt holder DLH who was at the end of his golden rope.

Sergio was the KING who couldnt get a fight at 154 anymore and just starting beating up on 160 pound guys as a 154 pound guy and is now the king of both
