Now somebody get Pacquaio's numbers and that compare them to PBF NUMBERS...

And How can you say Pac is even close to Mayweather !!

He also made $5+M for the Mayorga fight that year, so he didn't get all $43 million from the Mayweather fight (not to mention that some of that $43M comes from his ownership percentage of GBP, which actually does promote other cards).

$65 million is an impossible number. $30 million isn't out of the question.

Presumably, a big chunk of that dollar figure is estimated to be from endorsements, guest appearances, etc. No way he's planning on having 10 more fights, and there aren't enough big name opponents out there for him to average $30M a fight over an extended period.

I get your point. And it probably makes manny think why am I giving this guy all my money...but it doesn't make me think squat, cause really all I care aobut is that these guys get it on in the ring. Promoters promoting themselves makes dollars and Sence for the fighters themselves but it probably robs us fans of some pretty good fights. So for me personally I'd rather see a guy like manny whose promoted by Arum and gets a bunch of tough fights then a guy like Floyd who is free to choose s spots. For example, If Miguel Cotto was self promoted would we have gotten Margarito Cotto? Almost definitely not.

Weren't you one of the people who claimed the fight is a bad one for boxing and a worthless fight?

At least admit you're wrong, dumbass.

  8. Well, this might sound stupid, but maybe time and effort is more important to Manny than money? Maybe money isn't everything to him? Especially when we're talking silly money like we're talking. Maybe he's happy to pay for someone else to do the promoting? If you've got the money, why not pay for someone else to do it to avoid the added hassle?

Example: My friends are moving appartment. They want me to help them move. I don't have the time, but I have the money. So I just paid a removal company to help them out, instead of doing it myself. My time is worth more than what it cost to hire the removal men, and everyone's happy.

    Just a thought.

actually, you are the one who sounds dumb here david.

he makes perfect sense, as in any economy, the concept of division of labor and specialization is inherent.

fighters are fighters and it would be difficult for them to be both fighters and promoters at the same time without sacrificing time and quality for the other.

the thing is, the best judge to value your time is yourself. in the same manner that you go to the carwash rather than wash the car yourself.

    :lol::rofl:D

There are no top level fighters who are not fighting for money and are not always looking out to increase their bank before they checkout. None. If you think Manny doesn't care about money you are a God damn fool.

  12. Thank you scatterbrain!

Your car wash analogy is perfect, and has fewer words.

"Why wash the car, when you can take it to the car wash?"

    Exactly!

  13. Have you ever heard the expression "Time is Money"?

We're not saying Manny doesn't care about money. We're saying his time and effort is potentially worth more than the money he pays for someone else to do it.

and you are a goddman doofus for not understanding the post.

of course manny cares about the money, him being a boxer. what the poster wanted to convey was that time and effort which has monetary value in itself is not enough motive for pac to be active as a promoter at the same time being a boxer.

besides, not only will trying to balance both activities be detrimental to his training as he is a full time fighter unlike pbf who has retired for almost 2 years.

lastly, if you analyse it, it will not be so beneficial for pac. not only will it distract him, from training and numerous endorsements and commercial activities, it will also not be prudent for him business wise as any income derived by him as a promoter will also be taxed since situs of taxation is in the US.

there is no business sense for him to pursue it considering he is not an american citizen and he has publicly said that he will retire after 2 or 3 more fights.

if you cannot comprehend that, then i suggest taking a few business classes will help you.
