It’s not an advantage to Floyd it’s an advantage to Leonard as he is the naturally bigger man who fought as high as 168 pounds against a world light heavyweight champion.
Floyd has the better defence. It would resemble Leonard vs Benitez except for Floyd training harder and more dedicated than Benitez. Over 12 rounds I fancy Floyd but over 15 rounds I suspect Leonard might pull it out. Any takers for a draw.
Ray is too big, too quick and has the power Floyd is good enough to hear the final bell, but he loses a lopsided decision
This. Floyds defense and ability is getting underrated here however that being said Leonard would still be way too much for him.
Leonard had a better KO rate at welter than Pac and stopped a light middle which Manny has never done, Ray was far bigger than Manny and even stopped a light heavy, he had more one punch power than Manny at 147 and above, Ray had a lot more reach than Canelo and Manny.
I think some rounds would be close and floyd would make him miss, but Ray would be throwing flurries catching the judges eye similar to hagler fight, only Ray would obviously be the aggressor Floyd definitely lands some clean counters I think it would be a 9-3 type of fight or 8-4 if they fought 12 rounds
Leonard for me over 15 round either a UD or a late stoppage. Leonard accomplished more and had bigger wins than beating Mayweather. Mayweather however didn’t beat anyone close to being in Leonard’s league.
Benitez was better at 154 than Floyd, he thought brilliantly against Hearns in one of the greatest scientific boxing matches of all-time, Canelo wasn`t near Hearns level at 154, Tommy would have destroyed Floyd with ease at 154.
Yeah I kinda pictured Floyd making Leonard cut weight. I guess I could have said 147. But arguably Floyd's best win as "Money" was at 152.
