Floyd would do better than his daddy would enough to see the full 12 thanks to his movement and clinching but he would get outwork at 147 or at 154 or even at this catchweight. He would not have the power to stop leonard on his tracks and make him think twice like floyd did to pac.

Money Mayweather and Pretty Boy Floyd are the same person. His best wins were the execution of Arturo Gatti at 140 pounds and the dissection and destruction of the then undefeated Diego Corrales at 130 pounds. The beating of Canelo was excellent too.

Youre only as good as the fighters youve fought. Thats how to properly rate boxers. Unfortunately, Floyd doesnt have that many marquee wins. The cotto, canelo, and pacman wins were not wins when they were at their best or their primes. So with that said we can credit the Oscar and Hatton fight to Floyd. Thats not enough to match hagler, hearns, and duran.

He is actually massively overrated.

 

That is not what I am saying and I am someone who goes back in time. I did not say most skilled I said no one more skillful than. There is a difference. Certainly there have been those as skilled and we are talking of barely discernible margins. Things Pernell did better but things Floyd did better ditto Benitez, Ray Robinson, Charley Burley etc. When we are talking of the best fighter of all time Sugar Ray Leonard is well in the discussion at his peak even I must admit that though I hated him personally as a man.

If Ray had’ve had no success in boxing him, he’d have just fought him aggressively and turned it into a fight.
