For me i cannot possibly see why on earth Green payed Tarver so much and set a precedent , he was what most thought a past it fighter , who cannot sell tickets in his home country .s BASEED ON THAT HE WAS NEVER EVER WORTH OVER A MILLION BUCKS

Now if they do want a rematch witch i doubt they do , its gonna be Danny has to pay him for it . and pay big money . BecaUSE HAS MANY HAVE POINTED OUT IT WONN'T SELL IN THE STATES.

Looks like Danny and his team have been well schooled both IN AND OUT THE RING.

 

Yeah dude, Tarver got totally outclassed twice by Dawson and it was obviously just a gimme pay day. Unless a fighter is upset, it is an Adamek vs Briggs type affair or there is a bad cut, rematches just shouldnt happen. Trilogies between guys like Soliman and Mundine should just be scrapped and not even considered. Danny got totally punished and at his age he is just too old to learn the answer to breaking Tarver down. He needed to be moving to the right and avoiding the left hand but he couldnt even adapt to that

 

Tarver is the one who wants the fight in the US unless GMB coughs up even more money than last time which can't happen.
So basically they've called Tarver's bluff and said sweet we'll fight you in the US,Danny will still do alright from ppv sales back here but I'm not sure how Tarver's going to get a 1mil pay cheque:yep

 

if green decides to throw a few punches instead of being a punching bag and hoping tarver will get tired, then he can win.

the 30 seconds he decided to have a go, he hurt tarver pretty bad, but then went back to the ropes and defend.

 

Green is not 'live' in any rematch. He wasn't 'live' in the first one and a second time around would be the same.

Danny is one-dimensional and robotic, surely Daws your not going to tell me he's going to become some 'art of the sweet science' boxer/mover overnight and all of a sudden become 'live'?

 

most people said green had virtually zero chance vs jones.

he just needs to let his hands go more.

everyone knows he needs a ko vs the jones and tarvers of the sport to win. its no secret.

and everyone saw that when he does connect he can really hurt tarver.

 

Jones was shot and had been KOd plenty of times before . I believe green wanted to attack the body but early on every time he came in he got put on his arse ,so he tried to do the same as the BJ fight . But tarver wasnt scared of the greens so called power like bj was..... I hope they fight again as would love to see another flogging. Danny's ****ed paid to much for the first fight and now if its in the states tarver will want most of the aussie PPV or no fight and green will not fight tarver for 30-50k. All smoke and mirrors im afraid....

 

Who will Danny fight if he avoids Tarver then ?

 

He didn't want to let his hands go because firstly tarver hurt him early, and secondly he couldn't tag tarver, he even said it between rounds "I'm hardly hitting him" he knew he was in deeper waters than he has ever been, and he drowned, keep your dignity, enjoy your money, and your family, time to pull the pin Danny

 

I understand what you're saying about Beyer, but don't forget Green was much younger then (30), and it was almost 2 years later they had the rematch.
A younger, hungrier fighter on his road upwards is more deserving of a rematch, as they may bring something more to the fight.

Green is 38 now, just had the worst flogging in his career, and you are ok with him getting back in the ring with the same guy?

In any case, I'm not against Green as such, I can just recognise a rematch with Tarver is a waste of time. He got flogged, move on and fight someone else or retire.

 

I dunno man, Green did look pretty flat against Tarver - it could have been due to wrong game plan or prep, or carrying too much weight, but it's more likely it was because Tarver stung him early and he was gunshy thereafter, and simply outclassed him, but I'd watch a rematch.

You never know, Green could be competitive and win, setting up a trilogy :yep

Seriously, who knows, I am of the opinion right now that Green will never have much of a shot at Tarver and the rematch is wank.

But, I've been wrong before and I'll back pedal as fast as the next guy.
