Its sad how many people are saying Mayweather's is way better. He is my favorite fighter of the era and i think noone below 154 will beat him but in a H2H match up this would be an even fight not a wide UD in favor of either fighter. Chavez isn't the typical mexican brawler he applies educated aggression and for those saying he fough cab drivers in the beginning you gotta compare that Chavez didnt have an amateur career while Mayweather had a great one so Chavez was learning in the pro ranks.

If you think Taylor took him to school you have to rewatch the fight imho. It look like Taylor was beating Chavez badly but if you look closely alot of those combinations were hiiting air and the gloves, which is why Chavez was able to keep applying pressure til the end because he was not beaten up. and if you think the stoppage was unfair you gotta think more about the fighters health but that can be a whole other thread

he also took Jose Luis Ramirez to school and took his WBC title - Ramirez being 101 wins 6 losses

as well as taking Edwin Rosarios WBA title

while mayweather went to war with henry brussels and chop chop corley

How in the **** is this an "orgy thread"? Did you even bother to read any of the responses? Obviously not.

If it makes you puke to open ESB, why don't you **** off then? Clearly nobody wants you here.

people are too easily wow by big record. A lot of people don't realize that mexico doesn't have a great amatuer program and most mexican fighters learn on the job and fought bums as a pro till they get good. Of course Floyd Jr record towers over Chavez's.

People are so busy nut hugging Chavez's "LEGENDARY" 87-0. Floyd's 42-0 is by far and away much more legit...

I dont agree that Mayweather's is way better. i would say they're about even with Mayweather having the chance to make it better but you make a good point about Mexican fighters learning the job in the Pros. I think in an interview even Marquez stated that the best age to become a pro is a 16-17 when most boxers barely start learning the sport at that age in other countries

Maybe I do. It's been a solid five years or so. He was up on the cards and JCC was not going to lay another glove on him in the time left in the fight. The ****ed up thing about it is that he had already sustained permanent damage anyway and wasnt even given the satisfaction of the win he went balls out for and gave up his prime for. Taylor couldve been great and I feel for him. **** smells real foul considering Tyson had just lost to Douglas and King's other prize horse was about to lose that 0.

MT had some of the fastest hands in history, but they didnt pack a whole lot of power aside from overwhelming opponents by accumulation. Chavez had such a chin that he could walk through virtually anybody's shots and keep coming, like a Cyborg. (did it to Rosario and proceeded to beat the **** out of him).

its not fair to make Chavez a legend, when we have legends and degrade them...Mayweather beat more champions, won more titles and hall of famers in less fights than Chavez more than half, has to be noteworthy:deal
