Monroe made a fool of himself.

He should have just waited to be counted out and admit he couldn't go on, and nobody would have complained.

Instead he tried to make it look as if the ref counted too quick.

It backfired on him, as he admittted to BOTH not wanting it anymore AND to faking a quick count.

That's why I actually respect Geale for the way he quit against GGG. He realised he just had nothing for him, and was just getting beaten up and was a man about it and admitted that there was no point him continuing

I think you people are over ****yzing this situation.

Before getting knocked down for the 3rd time, GGG hit Monroe with a meaty hook right to the temple.

After that shot, Monroe was out on his feet. He was glassy eyed and could NOT take anymore punishment. As a fighter, it's natural instinct to get up. I think Monroe was just too dazed to even comprehend what was going on in that situation. Again, that was a MONSTER hook to the head GGG hit Monroe with. No man would be functional after.

 

he could of quit after round 2.. he showed alot of heart and was landing on GGG quite well later in the fight instead of going into survival mode
