Monster Inoue vs. Khaosai Galaxy @ 115

Surely you are kidding. Khaosai was chased out of the ring all night, Khaosai had a few moments but in the parameter's of scoring "Damage done and effective aggression" Armando swept the fight.

 

I feel like the guys defending Khaosai and no disrespect entirely have only seen highlights of him KOing largely no hopers.I have watched every fight of his just about and his brothers on film and I don't see "Thai Tyson"

Have you seen the size of his shoulders in relation to his weight class?

I thought he won a very close fight with Castro. And it also showed that KG was pretty much finished.

His competition is very good featuring former world champions and also future world champions.
To me you sound like a person who doesn't really know the boxers of that time period and just looks up records.

Pical actually went on to win another title. KG was the only boxer to ever stop him.

Contreras actually moved up and latter became a champion and stopped Luisito Espinosa after getting stopped by KG.

You have to also remember that back then boxing smaller weights were not that big in the USA at all.

And his brother was not better then him which is a myth people like to throw out there all the time because his brother was very flashy and people love that especially in Thailand.

 

Those so-called contenders Inoue beat are due in large part because there are way more belts then when Khaosai fought.

 

Same amount of contenders in the top 10 Ring every single year. 10. Inoue beat more people in the top 10 than Khaosai by over 5x.

*The first three years of Khaosai's reign didn't have Ring superfly contenders, but two of them, based on my analysis, would be contenders. He only beat one contender in his four years as champion.

 

So, how does Inoue beat him? A guy who fought 48 fights and lost only once by a decision in his 7th pro fight. He's never been close to getting stopped. And he's stopped nearly every opponent he's faced.

 

Non-sequitur, I can't respond to fallacies seriously. Undefeated fighters fight and lose every day, almost. One just lost twenty minutes ago.

For example, I'm sure you'd have no issue picking some fighter to beat Joe Joyce, although Joyce is 15-0 with 14 KOs. You can replace Joyce with any undefeated fighter you'd like, the principle is the same.

 

Khaosai is overrated by people who want to seem smart for rating him highly. You could make a good case that he's not even the greatest Galaxy brother. Kaokor's win over Moon is way better than anything Khaosai has. Anyways I'm not sure Inoue could even make 115 in the 80s so I won't pick a winner for this one.

 

Kaokor rode that win for all its worth. Liked his win over Wilfredo but he was too inconsistent to say he was better then his brother.
Boxing talent also involves being disciplined as well and Kaokor was simply not.

 

The contenders were no more contenders then KG beat and you also are dismissive of the fact that at that time that division was not that popular at all.
KG fought who was there at the time.
You also fail to point out that KG fought when 15 rounders were still a thing.

 

He couldn't, but he'd have a far better chance at making 115 when he was fighting there than he would at making 118 in the 80s now. He has gained around 7 pounds since moving up to BW.

 

I’ve literally watched all of his fights. I’ve seen all of Jiro and Khakor and I think both were better and faced more iron that is impossible to refute. Khaosai’s best win what is it tell me?

Returning to the other point I don’t care how his “V-taper” looks or his shoulders this isn’t bodybuilding mate. Inoue cuts down to about 130lbs give or take 5lbs and then dehydrates. Khaosai by his own mouth cuts down from 130lbs (roughly) actual weight. So when they’re both in prime shape Inoue is about 15lbs heavier during the fight on top of the fact he shed actual weight in camp.

Inoue is much bigger, Inoue fights bigger guys than Galaxy with devastating results and no coach would want their guy to fight like Khaosai over Inoue. The real question this thread is asking is can a power punching featherweight KO a rudimentary super fly? I think yeah he can. About Castro you’re gonna need to produce a card for that fight, not a chance Khaosai won that unless your his son.

Who's doing the time traveling?: The guy who struggled to make 115 on same day weigh-ins or the guy who never even had to make a same day weigh-in ever?

Galaxy fought who was there, except Watanabe and that was beyond their control. Remember, 115 wasn't even considered an actual division in many places at the time and was held in contempt by The Ring and others, so it wasn't exactly a magnet for top lighter weight fighters to aspire to back then.
