You've never seen Barrett vs Mesi then?
Give that fight 1 more minute and Barrett's the winner instead...Mesi won a majority decision and quite a dubious one it was as well. He was reeling in the last three rounds.

Barrett's no superman but he's no mug either.
His win over Guinn is still one of my favourite recent upsets, ringcraft over youthful arrogance.

 

Haye's Glass Jaw will be a factor at Heavyweight. You need to learn to deal with that.

I would take Monte seriously if he had a better gameplan that night instead of throwing rights hands at Valuevs skull without abandon....come up with a gameplan like Chagaev maybe

At tad different situation here.

Haye called out Rahman the second after he just looked horrible against Toney.(Why not call out Toney?).Rahman is a sub and you cant fault the healthy fighter for the situation his original opponent put him in.And most importantly Wlad did offer haye the spot in which Rahman is in right now.

IMO Rahman would have been suitable for Haye i never bitched about it other than Haye's timing.

I dont mind the Klit's but im definetly not a hardcore fan.

 

I watched that Wlad-Barrett fight again yesterday and he is a tough guy with good recooperative powers. Wlad beat on him and beat on him and yes he finally went down as much from exhaustion as anything. I think Haye is underestimating Barrett as he won't fold from the first good punch or combination David lands. He has pretty good power himself and should test David's chin at heavy. Finally, Barrett showed very good head movement in the Wlad fight and surprising strength. Often he pushed the giant back and fired some good body shots and showed some good overall defensive skills. Off topic but Wlad's jab sucked back then. Steward is an absolute genius with tall punchers. Wlad is so much better nowadays both defensively and offensively. He was quite crude back in the day.

 

Haye will win this by DEATH.

Monte will at east rock Haye a little.I'm pretty sure Haye will eat a little canvas in this fight

 

I think Barrett is a reasonable test for Haye's HW aspirations.
If he blows him away within a few rounds, the HW scene has a serious and dangerous new name. A decision win against Barrett would raise a lot of doubt about Haye's HW plans.

I don't really have a favourite in this fight, but hope Haye wins in exciting fashion in order to breathe some life into HW boxing.
