This is the kind of opponant I thought they would go for. Didnt understand why Kingpin was first mooted, just didnt seem likely that Team Haye would go for a young, unbeaten yet relatively unknown heavyweight. Good name recognition but not a big heavy and certainly beatable, and most importantly he can go down early and we know this, it has happened before. Haye needs guys who will go down early, he doesnt want to be taken into deep water at heavyweight.
Barrett is ok to challenge for a title against the division's best, but Haye needs to step it up and invent a time machine to face PRIME Tyson or Ali...he is ducking them both.
all of the smack hayes been talking about how good his opponent is going to be and they pick monte? ooook... i like monte, hell i root for him almost every fight except the wlad fight but beating him really doesnt prove a thing at this stage... i guess you just try to beat him worse then other people that did it when he was younger? idk... i suppose the opponents fine, but haye shouldnt have been talking about how good his opponent was gonna be.
barrett is tough and has early power. i reckon haye will play it safe early. i predict a pts victory or late stoppage for the Hayematrix over the '38 year old journeyman' obviously, im hoping for Barrett ko1 :yep :yep
