Monte Barrett vs. Shane Cameron & Solomon Haumono vs. Joey Wilson RBR

Round 1

Barrett jabs, darting in and out. Very spry for 41. Cameron is waiting on the outside, leaning over to his side and twitching his lead arm before popping double jabs, snapping them out nice and quick but sort of telegraphing them. Barrett reaches out some long probing jabs of his own but Cameron is able to duck and weave through them while leaned back butt over heels. Big 1-2 by Barrett, ducked. Cameron is using good up and down movement to deny Barrett the big right hand shot. Cameron looks scared, though. Cameron waves a high left jab while cheating his body 90 degrees away from Barrett. Jab connects for Cameron but Barrett drops a short right hand on his cheek.

There wasn't a whole lot in the round. Feeling out process.

This could get very interesting the further it carries on.

 

Round 2

Barrett jabs, taking baby steps in toward Cameron. Right hand by Barrett as Cameron rolls over to the side. Cameron backs out, then comes charging in with a straight right to the chin. Barrett shakes it off and keeps shuffling around Cameron, in and out with the jab. Another bigger right hand by Cameron. Barrett moves forward to neutralize him before he can follow up. Cameron is trying to time big shots before getting clinched as they separate and come back together repeatedly. Barrett complains about a headbutt. Cameron is charging in, and leading with his head but it doesn't seem too intentional, just trying to get inside, jabbing to the body.

Buddy McGirt is going to try offering Barrett some water for now, but if he takes another shot like that he's going to have to save him, baby! :err

 

Round 3

Cameron is jabbing to the body, squeezing his shoulders up over his jowls and leaning over, crouched and a bit hunchbacked. Barrett is firing straight jabs and rights, but can't touch him clean. Cameron is too slippery for him. Short left jab/uppercut by Cameron!!! Barrett down, legs jellied!!! Ruled a slip!! atsch Cameron circles to his right, jabbing the body and leaning back out of the way of Barrett's higher left jab. STIFF jab to the chin by Cameron.

10-9 Cameron, robbed of a 10-8.

29-28 Cameron

edit: replay shows that after stunning Barrett with the left, Cameron pushed down on the back of his head as Barrett was already on the way down. So the ref deemed it was a "push-down"...even though the punch would have caused Barrett to fall even without the push!! He was in the middle of dropping when Cameron gave the extra unnecessary push.
