Name one boxer other than Leonard, that Duran beat who's better than Mayweather?

Duran was good, but if Dejesus could drop and outbox him, so could Mayweather.

Leonard wasn't cut off in Leonard-Duran 1, he chose to fight Duran's fight. Even so It was a close fight with many close rounds. They beat the **** out of each other. If they were playing football both of them would be out on IR forever. Either way the a reasonable person could have scored that fight for Sugar Ray. It would have been very different if Leonard chose to fight on the outside.

And what did Duran do to De Jesus in the second and third fights? Those were far more impressive performances than Mayweather's second with Castillo (a lesser fighter than De Jesus).

This is bull****. Leonard was getting outdone from range. Remember the left hook that hurt him in the second? From distance. Remember the counter right hands from Duran over Leonard's jab? From distance. Leonard fought inside because he had to. He was forced into an inside battle.

Spew more cliche statements though if you want. I'm done.

That's not how it looked to me. 85% of the fight was inside and it did not appear that Leonard was trying to change that. You can claim he's lying but Leonard said that he brawled with Duran because Duran was calling him a *****.

Duran beats the living **** out of floyd makes him bleed miss you think he had a tough time with a one handed fighter in Cotto, Duran has the looping over hand right to cave Mayweathers face in, the stamina power infighting skills, defense two hands speed

    totaly ****s up Mayweather .

Castillo is better than Dejesus IMO. Shame he was a crackhead.

I never said Duran wouldn't win a rematch with Mayweather, but if he can be dropped and outslicked than Floyd could certainly do it.

At the end round 9 of May vs Cotto and the end of round 6 of Duran vs Leonard 1 ....Cotto copies Duran's two step shuffle

It's humourous that people are comparing the 35 year old Mayweather at 154 against Duran at 147 as an example of how things would go in a fight with them.

tells a lot about their knowledge.

Floyd, while great on the inside, has never looked completely in control against the ropes. He's never been mobile enough at welterweight toe scape what is probably the best pressure fighter in history, and Duran's craft on the inside easily outclasses that of Cotto, Castillo, Chavez, and Augustus. I do not see Floyd landing on someone with the defense and offensive arsenal of Duran more often than he does on Floyd, for a majority of rounds.

Yes Floyd is going to effectively be able to be pot-shot one of the most versatile & skilled swarmers in the history of the sport.

Seriously, Mayweather supposedly weighed 147 during the Cotto fight so we can't make excuses about his weight in regards to his performance. We saw what a 31 year old, past his physical prime, stamina deprived Cotto did. We saw how Floyd look tired and bloodied against a guy who throws half as many punches and is half as skilled. Yeah, Floyd was past his prime. Well pick any WW version of Floyd. Duran handles him rather convincingly.

Duran by ko. Floyd`s shoulder defense would be a weakess for Duran to connect perfect
    body punches.

This is silly. The Duran of Montreal fought tremendously against another top fighter of all time.

Mayweather has NO chance against that Duran. ZERO. Duran is Castillo x's 3.
