    I have this feeling that June 25 is too soon and Cermeno is a tough fight for Montiel after that devastating defeat at the hands of Nonito Donaire.

    Montiel is a warrior. Respect.

    It's at Jr Feather I think.

    If Montiel carries his power up, then he stops Cermeno IMO. If he does, then he might as well move back down to Bantam and knock Moreno out for his title, sit on it, and enjoy the rest of his career.

    Probably. And I suppose trying his luck against the likes of Ndlovu (not very good) and Arce (not bad, but not at his best) couldn't hurt. I guess it all depends on how his speed and power carry up to the weight.

    It was something mad like that. Donaire was a similar weight aswell. It says their exacts weights in the recent Ring mag but I haven't got it with me ATM.

    Crazy *******s.

    Cermeno is going to look massive compared to Montiel IMO (height wise)

    Just checked my copy, Montiel was 134, Donaire only 126. So moving up shouldn't do him any harm, but it's a brave move fighting someone as good as Cermeno in his first fight since then. Although he lost to Terrazas if he can take Montiel's power he's got a chance.

    A week left to the fight guys. Montiel's ended his 7-week preperation in the last day or two and is ready to go.
