I have a feeling it's gonna be against a realtively low danger C level fighter, a Francisco Arce type comes to mind.

At least he's staying pretty active, hopefully he can try to pick up another trinket sooner than later.

    ^ This.

Maybe after the Mares/Perez rematch they can set up a unification showdown? Now THAT would be great :)

rafael concepcion turned down the fight because he was only offered $20,000 for the fight. i do have a feeling it's going to be a scrub as well.

Damn, will 20 g's even cover a good training camp nowadays at the top level? I would rather just keep winning on the fnf circuit makin a few hundred thousand a year than fight a "world champ" for barely even scraps, and fall into an abc shot eventually.

But I won't necessarily hate on Montiel if he takes it easy right now, as long as he isn't losing his belts in the process, because he did just get back from winning probably one of his biggest fight in his career.

I'd like to see him fight Cermeno but as others have said he'll probably take an easier fight at this point. Joseph Agbeko wouldn't be a bad choice either.
