What the ****? Has Hozumi ever been hurt before? seems he got rocked but recovered and was holding the ropes while trying to cover up the right side of his face.

    The fight deserves a rematch.

Hasegawa was doing very good, but got timed. That is just the way the dice rolls. He was not in any way dominated. Props to Montiel.

Up to the stoppage, Hasegawa was winning on points. Not dominant, but winning.

I thought it was a brutal KO from the earlier reports but it seemslike he was till in his senses when the fight was stopped.

its a matter of opinion...letting someone walk into a trap is called strategy. No way Montiel wins a decision in Japan which is why he kept his composure he was waiting for the KO and montiel has quite a hook.

Montiel fought a brilliant fight and should get credit for a very good win.

Sweet. I knew Montiel was going to whoop that ass. People underestimate and overlook Montiel more than any other fighter out there. The guy has been a top ten pound for pound fighter for about ten years (still is). I've been saying it for about ten years.

Good stuff from Fernando...I was on the bandwagon for such a long time, but lost a bit of interest for a while there and dangled my feet off for a while. Should have never done that. :D

Got no issue with seeing them go again as I feel that was turning into a really interesting fight.
    Rematch in the U.S anybody?

Both guys were having moments of ascendancy...Looked like it was turning into a real armwrestle but I must say Montiel looked the fighter on top during the second half of the 4th, not just when he hurt HH but leading up to it aswell...looked like he was warming to the task and figuring out Hozumi.

Hozumi lost the fight because he would not raise his right hand on the clinch. It seems he was more afraid of the body punch than the hook and paid the price.

Hozumi was clearly hurt as he did not object to the stoppage at all.

That was just how the dice rolled.

Fighters lose and all it takes is one punch.

Not a fan of hasegawa but that fight looked competitive at the beginning.

I believe that Hasegawa deserves a rematnch. If Montiel wins again, then it is not a fluke.

The problem with Montiel is that he seems to have an off-on switch.

He could be very good in one fight, then looks average in another.

That was not a fluke... he was setting that punch up from the begining
