Montiel & Melendez just put on the FOTY.

...and it doesn't look like any of you so-called fans actually watched the damn fight. atsch

 

Well. This kind of makes my point about alot of the so-called fans who call this place home.

Only give a **** about the fighters they nuthug, and aren't really fans of the sport.

I swear some of the posters on here are probably paid by the promoters to shill the big name fighters.

 

Montiel by TKO in the 12th round.

Both guys hit the canvas though, and both took huge leather in a give and take fight.

 

It was an outstanding fight, Montiel struggles with southpaws, and a lot of time orthodox vs southpaw doesn't always provide the best action, but with both guys winging shots, it was all action.

At times Melendez looked like he was going to take over, and that boy has a ROCK SOLID chin, I mean granite... it must of took 12 solid power shots to a wobbly Melendez to take him down the first time.

..and the shot Melendez landed on Montiel was a peach.. though I don't think he was in as bad of trouble as the commentators made it out to be, he made a veteran move in staying down for the 9 count and regaining his composure, I thought he took the rest of the round, though he was visibly shaken, but I thought he hurt Melendez a few times again that round.

Just an excellent excellent title fight.

Showtime shows some weak ass fights all the damn time. Shobox shows are routinley worse than WNF and almost always worse than FNF.

Vs. has shown some REALLY good fights over the last few years.

If you didn't watch this fight, you missed a great one.

You can call it eye posion, but whatever. You can ****ing have Perez and Federov and Bey vs Gonzalez all you want.
