It's not different to me. I don't have a football team I just watch it cuz I like it. There are plenty of times when there is only one game to watch, and I may not watch it for various reasons. Still a big fan though.

With boxing, the fight that happens to be on may not interest me because of the TV Show that's on in the same time slot. Or it may not interest me as much as my new video game.

I understand your frustration at these fights not getting hyped. But simply post shout outs to the fighters and tell people who to look for and when. More and more people will watch if the fights are as good as you say. Insulting those who didn't watch isn't going to endear them to your message.

But hey, thats just my opinion.

 

Name one...his **** was the most pathetic excuse for a boxing match that I have ever seen. Forget he is twice the size of every opponent. And forget that every opponent looks like they are intentionally trying not to punch him in his wide open face. Anyway. I have a gripe with him and mother****ing Zahir Raheem of whom is the devil.

Boxing fans are generally the worst to deal with, luckily this forum has been expanded into much broader view points than it was before, because everything was accepting as face value before.

Montiel has never had a signature showcase on a premium network like others have, take Calderon for example, he is well known and recieved press for his last win, which was a good fight, but how many times did he outclass guys on PPV undercards?

I counted 3-4, specifically one on a Pacquaio undercard, that's a lot of exposure for him. Montiel, I've only seen him on smaller networking for the most part and he's not entirely marketable.

This is sad, but it's totally not surprising, it operates much like underground music, which is of a different quality than what sells in the mainstream, MOST, not all, but most commercial music is not on that level, but what gets press and what sells more?

This comparison is valid. I did not say you were calling me out, but it caught KG's eyes, who is a very avid boxing fan and is also the type that enjoys brutal bouts and seeks to analyse and broaden his understanding of the sport, he simply didn't care about this fight and that doesn't put anything against him as a fan.

Also, Mijares is mildly competitive with Montiel, goes back to styles, Mijares had the nastiest style for Arce possibly, but damn did he bring it home, what a display! Mijares 8-4 over Montiel, hope it gets made since Montiel would be a good resume point, but I doubt it, Mijares is going to be avoided.
